Dr Justin Bomda-Ratsmitglied des Koordinationsbüros

Born in October 1960 in Sangmélima – CAMEROON, Justin Bomda obtained his Engineering degree in Agronomy (Management and Cooperation) from the University of Dschang (Cameroon) in 1985, a Master of Arts degree in Development Economy and Planning from the United Nations Institute for Development Economy and Planning in Dakar (Senegal) in 1988, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics (Finance and Development as major) from the University of Hohenheim (Germany) in 1998.

He served as Engineer in charge of studies at the Department of  Studies and Projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, and carried out studies for the the World Bank, the FAO, the IFAD, the European Union and the GTZ.

He is currently the Executive Secretary of ADAF (Appropriate Development for Africa Foundation), an NGO devoted to the promotion, control and monitoring of  the network of rural development microbanks called MC2 (65 operational as of 31st December 2006), and the Women loan and savings cooperatives called MUFFA, in collaboration with Afriland First Bank, a Cameroon private bank.

He is the President of the Oversight Committee of MIT FUND (Micro Trust Fund), a venture capital and intermediate fund for micro and small enterprises and microfinance institutions; the Editor of “Le Defi des Pauvres”, a magazine specialized in microfinance, micro enterprise, and development.

Dr Justin BOMDA is also associate lecturer at the Catholic University of Central Africa, and the Yaounde University 2.
