Returning Experts who have acquired their professional skills in Germany have an important role to play in their home countries. In particular when they are successfully professionally integrated, they can make an effective contribution to the economical, technological and social development to their counties of origin.
The Returning Experts Programme, which is implemented by the International Placement Services (ZAV) in the Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development puts this potential to work for development (BMZ) puts this potential to work for development policy. It supports both junior and advanced experienced experts who are interested in returning to their countries as well as employers in developing and emerging countries that are looking for employees with special qualifications. In this way, we help to make international migration processes sustainable in terms of employment and development policies.
Apart from counselling and service exchange, the program also offers financial aid to returning experts under certain conditions. Employers are assisted in the search of candidates through the service program.
Their professional know-how is state-of-the art. They enjoy international contacts, are at home in several cultures, and speak several languages fluently.
