The Coordination Office Cameroon (COC) was officially launched on September 28th, 2006 in Yaounde. In the past years a group of engaged Cameroonian Returnees from Germany made it their goal to strengthen the community of Returning experts in the Cameroonian society and to strengthen the ties of the German development organisations in Cameroon. This has been materialized through the creation of the COC in form of cooperation between Cameroonian Returned Experts, Cameroonian Alumni Associations and various German institutions present in Cameroon. The COC works in cooperation with National Employment Fund (NEF) in the framework of the “Programme d‘Appui au Retour des Immigrés Camerounais ( PARIC ) ,World University Service (WUS) and the Centre for international Migration and Development (CIM) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Since its establishment, the Coordination Office has experienced and overcome several challenges and difficulties. It currently has 122 members.
How successful was the COC in 2007?
The activities of the COC in 2007 were:
1. Adoption of the Constitution of the COC
2. Creating the website www.kbk-cameroon.net of the COC
3. Organization of seminars of integration and creating contacts
4. Organization of the Alumni-day
5. Other activities and the secretarial work
6. Obtaining the workplace equipment (APA) from the German government
