On September 21st 2007, the General Assembly of the Coordination Office was held in Yaounde. Present were His Excellency Mr.Volker Seitz, ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cameroon and His Excellency Mr. Jean Melaga, Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon in Germany. The opening ceremony started with the speech of Mr Michael Friedrich, Director of the Goethe Institute in Cameroon, followed by the speech of Dr. Patrice Mbaya, Chairman of the Board of the Coordination Office and that of Mr. Volker Seitz respectively. A preparatory working group, composed of volunteers had prepared a draft constitution. A proposed Presidium of the meeting was headed by Mr. Dr. Patrice Mandeng, a moderator in the person of Dr.Daniel Ayuk Mbi Egbe and Mr Etoundi to write the report. The session was attended by 24 participants whose names are available in Appendix of this document and also on the website of the Coordination Office.

After the departure of the ambassadors, the Presiding Officer Dr. Patrice Mandeng held a debate on the constitution. After a lengthydebate, the General Assembly completely adopted the constitution. The General Assembly authorized the constitution to be analysed by professionals to check irregularities as well as legal and institutional compliance. The Executive Board has charge of undertaking formal acknowledgement of the Coordination Office by the competent authorities. The Assembly unanimously endorsed the election of the members of the Coordination Council who are Bihege Pauline, Marie Claudine Zangnam, Prof. David Simo, Dr. Patrice Mbaya, Dr. PatriceMandeng, Dr. Justin Bomda, Hottou Nicanor and Mr Ousmane Alamine Mey. The General Assembly also granted discharge to the Coordinating Council to adopt the action plan in its entirety, however, giving mandate to the Governing Council to improve upon it, if necessary.
The session of the General Assembly ended at 1 p.m., with the address of Dr. Mr Patrice Mandeng.
